(Anchorage, AK)  Caffeine, caffeine, caffeine....there's no question...many Anchorage residents have an addiction to the bean.
On almost every corner and on almost every block, the coffee stand is dominant. YourAlaskaLink's photojournalist Eric Stratton and Natalie Travis introduce us to one shack, reaching outside the norm.

Sorry you feel that way, however every barista shown in the story was told exactly,how the story was to be set up and agreed to participate. It was supposed to be cute,not demeaning. They felt the idea was cute as well. And no...nobody who worked on the story knew anything at all about Cowboy coffee or the person running it. Yes, it is a puff piece, because it is supposed to be fun. Lighten up. It's just supposed to be a silly fun story in a city full of coffee drinkers.

Your story seems to imply that all attractive young women working at coffee stands are just eye candy. A cheap gimmick. One lady you showed is Rosie, the owner of Loca Mocha. She is not a gimmick, but a hard working business woman. She has also set a standard of good product that in my opinion is unmatched in Anchorage. This puff piece looked more like a favor to a friend than journalism. Free advertising for the cowboy, while making all good looking baristas appear to be nothing more than strippers.
