Anchorage police say an autopsy has confirmed that human remains found in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough were of a missing local woman, Angela Dixiano.
The remains were found with information provided by her husband,
63-year-old William "Mike" Dixiano, who has been indicted on
murder and evidence tampering counts.
Police say Tuesday that Mike Dixiano acknowledged killing Angela
Dixiano and is cooperating with the investigation.
The body was found May 11 at Mile 86 Glenn Highway.
Police says Angela Dixiano had threatened to expose a fraud
scheme in which her husband stole hundreds of thousands of dollars
from a developmentally disabled man who inherited millions from his
parents.
Witnesses tell police she made accusations at a dinner party and
threatened to tell others but that she disappeared soon afterward.
