New TSA Screening at Juneau Airport

TSA officials claim the software safely screens people for metallic and non-metallic threats without physical contact.

Juneau's airport receives the same security screening technology as Anchorage and Fairbanks. It's called automated target recognition. The new software features a monitor attached to millimeter wave advanced imaging technology units currently in airports.
TSA officials claim the software safely screens people for metallic and non-metallic threats without physical contact.
The screening process gives a computer generated outline identical for all passengers. The screening is supposed to give people more privacy.
