One person is in critical condition and another, a stabbing victim, dies in late night spat.
Jackie Adams, 50, was at the Inlet Inn with his girlfriend drinking with some friends when a spat broke out. A hotel desk clerk called 911 after seeing Andrew Wilson, 50, bleeding in the hall way.
Police believe Adams may be responsible for Wilson's death.
In another separate crime, a fight broke out around 8:30 p.m. Monday night. Harold Finger, 28, was inside an apartment with 3 women and a 6 year old child. Witnesses say that he began beating one of the women then took a flammable ether compound and sprayed a doorway and himself then grabbed the 6-year-old
The women were able to pry the child away before he set himself on fire.
Police say the child was very traumatized after the incident..
"I can't imagine the fear that he would have experienced," said Lt. Dave Parker, APD spokesperson. "The terror that he would have experienced, being afraid for first of all seeing someone beaten in the apartment and then experiencing what he did with nearly being burned."
Witnesses told police that finger had just gotten out of jail the week before and that he set himself on fire because he didn't want to go back.
