ANCHORAGE - Detectives are asking the public for help in locating a suspect responsible for a fatal shooting over the weekend in front of a downtown nightclub.

Detectives found Said Beshirov, 27, shot in front Platinum Jaxx over the weekend. He was declared dead at the hospital shortly afterward. Police say it happened early Sunday (10/29) morning when authorities responded to a call about a large disturbance

Detective believe the occupants of 2 vehicles in the area when the shooting took place need to be contacted. The vehicles are a White Jeep Cherokee and a Red Dodge 4-door ½ ton pickup. They are also asking witnesses to come forward to help with the investigation.

APD says they know several people took video and pictures of incident with smart phones and are asking those not already contacted by police to come into the department so they can download and view footage.

Any photos or video of individuals in the crowd or on the street would be helpful even if they do not show the actual shooting.

No suspect names have been released at this point.
