ANCHORAGE- With many schools across the Anchorage School District preparing to wrap-up for the 2012-2013 school year, it can be hard to keep young minds stimulated.

For ASD sixth graders setting their books to the side for hands-on learning is what Outdoor Week is all about.

Students will spend time navigating through the various work stations at the BLM Campbell Creek Science Center practicing fly tying and casting, panning for gold, and learning how to live successfully with bears inside the city limits.

Outdoor week continues through Friday, May 17th. More information can be found here.
