Sea Party Gets Over 33,500 Signatures

The Alaska Sea party has collected over 33,500 signatures in support of a ballot for restoring the state's Coastal Management Plan.

The sea party hopes that the Alaska State Legislature passes a similar law so that the initiative won't be necessary.

However, if they don't pass a law, the legislative should be on the August ballot.

If the legislature extends more than 3 days, it will be on the November ballot.

Alaska has not had a Coastal Management Plan in over 6 months.

Officials from all over the state said that it has affected many businesses and contractors who have had problems getting permits.

Juneau Mayor Bruce Botelho said that once a new plan is federally approved, it may still take from 18 months to 2 years to the plan up and running.

Please, please, please tell me you are reviewing these comments! Did Natasha really call the Juneau Mayor Bruce BUTTHOLE? WOW!!! If you can't pronounce someone's name, err on the side of caution, and don't say anything. This should be a great embarrassment for your newsroom!
