(Seward, AK) Rule changes could be in store for the Mount Marathon Race, after a runner disappeared and another suffered severe injuries, according to reports.

Alaska State Troopers called off their organized search for missing race runner 66-year-old Michael LeMaitre over the weekend, saying all efforts to date have failed to find any clues.

The Seward Fire Department is currently continuing the search efforts.

Mount Marathon is open, but officials ask you contact the fire department if you
intend to use the trails, so they can keep track of who is out there.
