Whitney joined Your Alaska Link in August of 2012 after recieving her Masters in Journalism from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. A Texas native, Whitney is a lover of good food and all things BBQ.

It has always been a dream of hers to venture away from Texas and explore, never in a million years did she think that Alaska would one day be her home. During her undergrad years as an Ohio State Buckeye she began what she calls her "Tour of the Midwest". Ohio was where she discovered her love for news and finding the stories that matter most to the community. She interned at all of the major stations in columbus before moving to Cleveland, Oh.

After Ohio Chicago was her next stop, and what an amazing one, Whitney had the opportunity to anchor "Good Day Depaul" a student run news magazine. She also interned for WBBM CBS2 Chicago. She was a field reporter and assisted the assignment desk. Chicago was a place Whitney says never got old, there was always someone or something interesting hanging around and making her time there a blast.

Whitney is eager to soak in the Alaskan scenery and get to know Anchorage and all it has to offer, shoot her an email, or when you see her around say hi!!
