Pennsylvania men Craig Christy and Shawn Christy will be held by authorities until they can be sent to Alaska for harassing Sarah Palin and her family. The dynamic duo was arrested after being indicted by a grand jury. They went from level creepy to truly threatening. Maybe they can share a padded cell.
The feds corrected flaws in environmental work done ahead of a 2008 lease sale in the Chukchi Sea that should speed up the permitting process for exploration. Of course environmentalists are crying and ready to sue to stop any OCS drilling in the Arctic. Our senators better get it in gear and get our share from the feds!
The state will partially fund the Knik Arm Bridge. By partial they mean 150 million of the billion it’ll cost. And that’s only if the legislature passes it. Wasilla Councilman Steve Menard was apparently doing more than just sharing issues at the Alaska Municipal League meetings in Sitka last week. According to a bill sent to the city from the Westmark hotel, damage to Menard's room included two mattresses, a chair that was urinated on, vomit on the carpet, removal of a screen from a window, a burned mattress, all bedding was ruined and there had been smoking in the room, which was prohibited. Menard had no comment…YET!
