APD says they hope to find a man who reportedly kidnapped a teenager who told authorities the suspect forced him to drive south on the Seward Highway. Devin Welsh escaped the armed carjacker at Turn again Pass when the suspect stopped to pee. The guy is still out there.
Set net fishermen held a rally to protest recent King closures. 200 people called for the state to develop hatcheries that would keep the Kenai River stocked with King salmon. Would that change the whole make-up of the Kenai River’s “wildness”???
Former state employee Lisa Carpenter is suing the state, saying that she was not protected from 2 stalkers. She worked for the Division of Public Assistance. Floyd and Mary Transki were disgruntled residents who made false accusations about Carpenter that lead to her resignation. The Harassment went on for almost a year with the state doing nothing to stop it.

Fairbanks police say they have arrested one Fort Wainwright soldier in the fatal shooting of another. Joshua Corona was arrested yesterday after 19-year-old private, Jawuan Collins, was killed by a gunshot wound to the head at Corona's apartment early Sunday morning.
The Alaska Supreme Court ruled that the right to confidentiality exists for communications between unions and their members in labor disputes and grievances. Russell Peterson Jr. had gone to the state high court to keep confidential a grievance filed with his union after he was fired for failing to disclose felonies.

Kodiak man David Ramirez was sentenced to 3.5 years behind bars for a drug conviction. He was pulled over on a routine traffic stop when cops found he had meth, scales, packing materials, and 2 hand guns. They also found meth on him as he was being booked into the Kodiak jail. Where was he hiding that? I mean didn’t they pat him down before they booked him?
