Alaska's State Representative speaker, Mike Chenault met with several supporters earlier today to talk about an in-state gas line.

Chenault says that he's planning to submit a bill to the House of Representatives this January that pushes gas line construction.

He says that it's especially important for Fairbanks residents who are spending more money on gas than house payments.

Officials say that many Fairbanks residents, as well as other Alaskans, have been pushing an in-state gas line since 1954.
