Starting bright and early with a tasty pancake breakfast for the Salvation Army, Alaskans celebrate the 4th of July with flare! The day is action packed with food, games, local vendors, and of course, fireworks! There's even a parade!Return to event list.
Events kick off at 8 am with a pancake breakfast to benefit Alaska's Salvation Army, followed with fun activities for everyone! At 11 am, Anchorage's very own 4th of July parade will begin, following the parade route around the Park Strip (parking will not be available along the Park Strip).
At 1 pm, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, as it was done in 1776.
Great Clips will be hosting a "Fair Hair" event, with proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. Kids of ALL ages can get their hair colored as brightly as the fireworks!
