Lifelong Alaskan Brenda Rachel Spud, 41, died Jan. 10, 2008, at Alaska Regional Hospital.
A visitation will be at 10 a.m., with a service at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at First Evangelical Covenant Church. Pastor Nathan Toots will officiate. Pallbearers will include Christopher Hotch, Tyler Spud, Kenneth Davis, Terry Don, Wayne Don and Brandon William. Burial will be at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. A potluck will be at the church after the burial.
She was born May 18, 1966, in Bethel. She received her GED.
She worked for Oomingmak, Inc.
She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church and enjoyed knitting and reading.
Her favorite Bible verse was Matthew 5:44-45.
She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Spud of Anchorage; father, Charlie Spud Sr. of Mekoryuk; brother, Charlie Spud Jr. of Klukwan; sisters, Beverly Spud of Anchorage and Vera Cleveland of Quinhagak; nieces, Shannon Spud of Oregon and Karlie Spud of Klukwan; and nephews, Tyler Spud and Christopher Hotch of Klukwan.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Nona Amos and Harold and Bertie Weston; and sister, Shirley Ann Spud.
