Lifelong Alaskan Tammy Wilts, 41, died May 30, 2007, in Anchorage.
A celebration of life will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the IBEW Apprenticeship School, 5800 B St. Friends and family are encouraged to come and share this time together. A barbecue and potluck are planned.
Tammy graduated from East High School in 1984 and was a graduate of Alaska Business College. She pursued a career in the business/accounting field with the IBEW, first in the insurance division and then later at the IBEW training facility.
"Tammy loved being a mom and enjoyed sharing her life with her daughter, Ashton," her family wrote. "She also treasured spending time with her friends and family, snowmachining, watching movies and going to Big Lake.
"Tammy's vivacious personality and contagious laughter brought smiles to her family and friends."
She is survived by her loving daughter, Ashton Wilts; her longtime best friend, Danny Drum; mother, Sandy Wilts of Nebraska; brothers, Michael and Dave Wilts of Eagle River and Anchorage; and sister, Sheila Wilts of Colorado.
She was preceeded in death by her father, Jim Wilts.
