Lifelong Alaskan Caroline Lena Yates, 82, died June 10, 2007, at Alaska Native Medical Center.
A visitation will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E St., with a service at 5 p.m. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Yates was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Chignik.
Family wrote: "She was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
"She was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church. Her family and God were of great interest to her. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking and baking.
"She loved her family and always remembered birthdays and deaths of loved ones. She loved to cook and teach the skill of cooking to her kids and grandkids. She is loved by so many and will be greatly missed."
Survivors include her daughters, Caroline Moore and Jeannie Blakley; granddaughters, Ginger Lepke, Brianna Moore and Marisa Riley; grandsons, Nicholas Moore and Joshua Moore; nieces, Elaine McLean, Lorraine Bunnell, Kathrine Johnson, Minnie Skongberg and Tina Phillips; nephews, Ringo Anderson, Billy Anderson, John Anderson and Daniel Anderson; and brother, William Anderson.
