Anchorage resident Miroslav Stajic, 41, died Aug. 19, 2007, at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
A funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Innocent Russian Orthodox Church in Anchorage. The Rev. Blasko Paraklis will officiate. Pallbearers will include Aleksa Djukic, Damir Versagi, Mladen Devic, Boban Krajisnik, Dalibor Devic and Goran Versagi.
Mr. Stajic was born April 18, 1966, in Belgrade, Serbia, to Slavisa Stajic and Jelica (Stojadinovic) Stajic. He graduated from high school in 1985. He married the love of his life, Danijela Ivanovic, on Oct. 18, 1998.
Mr. Stajic came to Alaska in the early 1990s and settled in Anchorage. He owned Misha's Hair Design Salon and worked at Northern Trust as a licensed Realtor.
Misha enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities. His passions included hunting, fishing, boat riding camping, skiing, playing soccer, cooking for family members and friends, and playing with his kids, Nikola and Tijana.
Misha valued family and friends and spent time making sure that those he cared about were included in his life and his interests.
His family wrote: "Misha's generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to his family. He lived his life with integrity and bravery. There wasn't anything he couldn't do in life when he put his mind to it. He worked hard, played hard and lived all his life with excitement and ambition. He was very loyal friend. Misha will be greatly missed by his family and friends."
He is survived by his wife, Danijela Stajic; his son, Nikola; daughter, Tijana; father, Slavisa; mother, Jelica; sister, Jasna Miladinovic and her husband ,Goran, and son, Marko; uncle, Pera Stojadinovic; mother-in-law, Svetlana Ivanovic; and other family members including Mila and Dragisa Jelic with Lara and Sofija, Dejan and Zaklina Ivanovic with Natalia and Andrea, Jelena and Slobodan Savic with Kristina and Luka, and Milan Ivanovic; and many other family members and friends from this country and from back home.
