Anchorage resident Pauline Ellen Bates, 71, died of natural causes Aug. 8, 2007, at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
No service is planned at this time.
Mrs. Bates was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Arizona. She was a homemaker.
She moved to Alaska in 1966, and lived in Seward from 1982 to 1992.
Mrs. Bates like sewing, crocheting and bowling and loved to collect salt and pepper shakers.
"Pauline loved Alaska so much she made it her final home," her family wrote. "She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed."
Survivors include her son, Ray Bates of Anchorage; daughter, Cindy Isenberg of Anchorage; grandsons, Duane Bates of Washington, and Jason Isenberg and Devin Isenberg of Anchorage; and granddaughters, Kristy Bates of Washington and Ashley Isenberg of Anchorage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Bates.
