Anchorage resident Timothy Dale Wallen, 51, died of natural causes Sept. 5, 2007, at his home.
An informal celebration of life and potluck will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at 10900 Hideaway Lake Drive.
Tim was born Aug. 10, 1956, in San Diego and graduated from Santana High School. He earned an associate's degree in accounting from Charter College in Anchorage. Tim was a self-taught musician and enjoyed playing several instruments.
Tim arrived in Anchorage with his wife in 1991. He worked as an accountant for several firms in the Anchorage area.
His family wrote: "Tim was very proud to be an Alaskan, and he made friends wherever he went. He was also an accomplished musician and played in several bands and orchestras, including the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra. Tim enjoyed walking with his beloved dogs in Arctic Valley and playing golf with family and friends.
"Tim was taken from us way too soon and will be dearly missed by all who knew him."
Tim is survived by his wife, Sue; sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Charles Weber of Chiloquin, Ore., brother- and sister-in-law, Ron and Mary Smith; nephew, Ron; and grandniece, Calista, all of Anchorage.
