Committee considers mastery of subject for credit

The Senate Education Committee unanimously advanced a bill allowing students to test out of a high school course if they are able to demonstrate a mastery of the subject.

JUNEAU- The Senate Education Committee unanimously advanced a bill allowing students to test out of a high school course if they are able to demonstrate a mastery of the subject.

If passed, students will also receive credit for the course.
The bill now moves to the Senate Rules Committee. It already been reviewed and amended by the House.
