GMAK talks to Oliver Plunket about his motorcycle journey from Argentina to Alaska in aid of Fisher House

The Fisher House Foundation builds and runs "homes away from home" for military patients and their families. In the UK, they have teamed up with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity to create the first UK Fisher House.

Plunket, who has plans to join the service himself, has managed to raise of £57,000 (or roughly $87,000 USD) of his £100,000 goal on his 24,000 mile trip. A fundraising picnic will be held in Wasilla on Saturday, July 27.

Visit Plunket's website for more information and photos of his trip, and for information about the Fisher House Foundation.
