With September being National Prostate Cancer Awareness month, Stevie sits down with Dr. Richard Chung, a radiation therapist with Anchorage and Valley Radiation Therapy Center, to discuss the reality patients face when diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Chung says patients have a number of options available to them, especially if diagnosed early. For many, he says, a diagnosis is not a death sentence, and some patients may not even require treatment.

After opening their doors in 1993, Anchorage and Valley Radiation Therapy Center has worked to bring state-of-the-art screening and treatment equipment to patients. For more information on their programs and facilities, or to schedule an appointment, please visit their website.
