Anchorage Teacher to Become Citizen at Romig
It will be a real-life civics lesson this week at an Anchorage middle school.
ANCHORAGE- It will be a real-life civics lesson this week at an Anchorage middle school.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service will conduct a naturalization ceremony at Romig Middle School on Tuesday.
Eight people are scheduled to be sworn in before the entire student body. Among those will be Anaely Hernandez of Venezuela, who teaches U.S. history at Romig.
Besides Venezuela, the new citizens come from the Dominican Republic, Macedonia, Bhutan, Colombia, England and Senegal.
