Police Determine Death of John Pezzenti Jr. was a Drug Related

Anchorage police are releasing more information about the homicide death of a wildlife photographer. Fifty-five-year-old John Pezzenti was found dead on the floor of his Bear Valley home about 9:30 a.m. on December 3rd.

Police say the slaying was apparently drug-related. Police Department spokesman Paul Honeman says it's clear that drugs were a factor but to what extent Pezzenti was involved is NOT being made public.

Pezzenti's sister told the Anchorage Daily News that he was shot to death. Pezzenti's death is Anchorage's 25th homicide this year.
