With Fish Alaska Magazine now distributing 35,000 copies a month, the publishers say it's time to start reaching out to hunters as well. The company has announced it will begin publishing Hunt Alaska Magazine next year.

The publishers have plans to cover every aspect of hunting in the last frontier. They hope that each issue will be accessible to a hunter, whether they're a novice or expert.

"We'll start with the basic techniques on how to find an animal, how stalk it, how to kill it and then how to bring it home and clean it," says co-publisher, Marcus Weiner. "From there we'll work into some of the more advanced tactics. Maybe specialty concepts like bow hunting and tracking, ballistics."

The company says it will continue to utilize Alaskan writers for Hunt, as well as nationally recognized talent. As of now, they're planning a fall and spring issue each year.
