Kopp Accepts Commissioner Post

Anchorage, AK - In a press release issued by the recently named Commissioner of Public Safety, Charles "Chuck" Kopp, the public servant thanked the governor and the people of Alaska for their trust. Kopp's statement then goes on to praise the "loyalty, integrity and courage," of the many Department of Public Safety divisions.

The Commissioner then went on to outline his responsibilities and tasks as required by the new post. Kopp specifically cited maintaining the integrity of each division and council, exercising fiscal responsibility in all service costs and handling the recruitment and retention needs.

Kopp closed by saying, "With a strong hope and faith in the people of the Department of Public Safety, I am honored to be a part of advancing our mission of providing for the public safety to all the people of Alaska."
