Alaska State Troopers are warning people not to panic when they see a crowd around Mat-Su Regional Medical Center on Friday and Saturday. Troopers and other law enforcement officers, including some armed and others in gas masks, will be at the hospital for a
two-day exercise. Emergency medical and fire department personnel will be on scene Saturday in standard uniforms.

The exercise is designed to simulate an emergency event and
participants will rehearse response plans. Troopers say hospital patients will be alerted to the exercise. Traffic patterns will be different than usual but signs or personnel will be available to assist hospital patrons.
