Alaska State Troopers have released the names of two people who died in a plane crash. The two have been identified as the pilot, 69-year-old Bruce Harden, and a passenger, 50-year-old Lonnie Draheim. Both people were from Brookings, Ore. The crash occurred a half-mile east of Elim in western Alaska. The Federal Aviation Administration says the airplane was an RV-7, an amateur-built plane. The plane left Galena at about 4 p.m. Tuesday on a flight to Nome but never showed up.

The wreckage was found Wednesday night east of Bald Head Mountain. Medical personnel from Elim responded and pronounced the two dead.
