Aero Femme gets women in the aviation field

ANCHORAGE, Ak-- Aero Femme, a non profit organization and scholarship fund, is educating women in the aviation field. 

 
Founded in 2010 by Ariel Talen-Keller the program is for all ages from little kids to adults looking for a career change. So far they have given out 6 scholarships four of those going to the Alaska Military Youth Academy, which shares a unique relationship with aero femme.
 
"The aviation industry has grown so much over these last decades we just see a huge influx of women being a part of aviation and just like any other career field aviation is a great choice for women just depending on what skill set interests them," Ariel Talen-Keller, Founder Aero Femme. 
 
Talen-Keller says there is now a whole variety of areas to chose from from being a pilot to air traffic ontrol and even an aviation lawyer. Aero Femme is an outreach program that visits, high schools, girl scouts, and career fairs.
