ANCHORAGE- An Anchorage plastic surgeon accused of scheming to hide his wealth from his wife has been indicted on seven counts of federal wire fraud.

The indictment accuses 64-year-old Michael Brandner of setting up phony companies and accounts in Central America, Colorado and California to hide his wealth from his wife and the state court in Anchorage hearing the couple's divorce.
The federal government seized more than $4.6 million from a bank account that was part of the scheme. Prosecutors say Brandner was trying to shuffle it through a fraudulent investment to make it appear that millions were lost.
Sheila Brandner filed for divorce in Alaska in 2007.
The indictment was handed up by a federal grand jury in Anchorage last Tuesday. U.S. Marshals arrested Brandner Thursday.
