Hundreds Turn Out For Autism Walk

Organizers pleased with turn out

Hundreds of Alaskans showed up to the Anchorage sports dome Saturday for the Anchorage Walk for Autism.

The goal of the walk was to establish a sense of community and spirit among parents,educators, professionals and people living with autism.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say one in 88 american children are in the autism spectrum.

The C.D.C findings represent a 10 fold increase in diagnosis of autism over the past 40 years.
