Local Eatery Uses Facebook to Nab Thieves
Facebook fans of Kriner's Diner were essential in locating goods stolen over the holiday weekend
ANCHORAGE- A midtown restaurant was robbed over the weekend for nearly $2,500 worth of meat.
The owners of Kriner's Diner took to Facebook Saturday Morning with a surveillance cam photo of the suspects and their license plate.
In their post, they asked that the robbers return the meat within 8 hours, saying they would not press charges.
When they didn't turn themselves in, a Facebook friend tipped off the owners of the vehicle's location.
The owners then followed them until the police arrived.
The meat was not recovered, however; the suspects were connected to 7 other robberies.
