KENAI- A 50-year-old Kenai woman accused of running a prostitution ring out of her massage parlor has been sentenced to three years in prison on sex trafficking and prostitution charges. However, Karen Carpenter will not serve any additional time in jail since more than two years of the sentence were suspended and she received credit for time served. A jury in July found her guilty of five sex trafficking and one prostitution charge after police were tipped off she was running the ring out of her Gifted Hands Massage. The trafficking charges were consolidated for sentencing purposes.
