New study might make detecting concussions easier

Anchorage, AK-- With an average of 750,000 high school concussions occuring in the United States annually, one doctor says raising awareness is a major score.

" We ask the young patients, if they have ever had concussion, they are more willing to admit now.  Awareness is higher," Doctor Kilkenny says.

One study out of the lower 48 is proving to be helpful. While minimizing your symptoms might not be the safest way to go, if you are dishonest about acquiring a concussion, you won't not only feel disorientated, this study suggests it could ultimately change your personality.
