Police Respond to Shooting in Southwest Anchorage

ANCHORAGE - Anchorage police say a man is in custody following an early morning shooting in southwest Anchorage.
   
Anchorage Police Department spokeswoman Dani Myren said that officers at 1:24 a.m. responded to reports of shots fired on Victor Road.
   
Victor Road is a side street off Dimond Boulevard west of a Fred Meyer store. The street been closed periodically for upgrades the last two summers.
   
Myren says a man was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries and a second man was taken into custody.
   
She says additional details will be released Monday.
