Scott Janssen Reunites with Team After Iditarod Scratch
ANCHORAGE, Ak-- Scott Janssen was knocked, beat up, and bruised on this year's Iditarod trail, but with him through it all were his 15 best canine friends.
"I mean they respect me because I treat them well and they're my best buds when I'm out there on the trail and when I'm not out there on the trail, Scott Janssen, Iditarod Musher."
"He snapped his neckline and that's what they're designed to do in that situation and he didn't even hesistate, he just kept on trottin, just trottin down the trail just like the whole team was there, Janssen."
"They could have layed in snow, but they layed down in about an inch of water next to me. Jack laid his head on my chest and he just kind of looked up at me like you know I'm here for you and I just sat and petted him and I call him Jackson brown and I told him I loved him and he told me the same thing by the way he layed there and that shows the bond that we have, Janssen."
"I walked out and I'm like hey guys and they all stood up and they all looked over, some started howling some started barking every one of them were as happy to see me as I was to see them and that feeling of mutual love and respect and that is what it is, Janssen."
And through it all Janssen says with out a doubt he and his crew will be ready for the 2015 Iditarod.
