Second man charged in fatal shooting of teenage girl appears in court

ANCHORAGE-Jamal Townsend, the second man charged in the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Precious Alex was arraigned in court Thursday. Charging documents say the fatal shooting appears to have been an act of revenge aimed at another person inside the home where the victim was sleeping.
Friends and family members of Alex and Townsend were in court.Townsend could be seen smiling, winking and blowing kisses to the courtroom gallery. The grieving family says made them feel incredibly disrespected.

However, they say they've already forgiven the men accused of murdering precious.The family plans to hold several memorial events this weekend. A balloon release will be held in Mountain View Saturday at 7PM on North Flower St. A car wash and memorial walk will both happen on Sunday. The Memorial walk will begin at the Boys and Girls club in Mountain View at 4P.M.

Anchorage police say two men have been arrested on murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a 15-year-old girl.
Police say 28-year-old Lamar Burney and 24-year-old Jamal Townsend face charges of first- and- second degree murder, first-degree attempted murder and second-degree assault in connection with the early Tuesday morning shooting. They were arrested Tuesday night.
Police say the shooting occurred at a home in the city's Mountain View neighborhood. The girl was pronounced dead at a hospital.
