ANCHORAGE- Alaska State Troopers have released the name of an officer involved in the shooting of a 40-year-old Noorvik man.

Troopers say trooper Joshua Rallo is an eight-year veteran of the force who is assigned to the Fairbanks patrol unit.
Troopers say Jeffery Henry sustained life-threatening injuries when he was shot Friday after a standoff in Noorvik. Henry has been charged with felony assault and weapons misconduct.
Troopers flew to the village and say Henry took shelter in his home. At 4 p.m. Friday, Henry stepped out and troopers say he "brandished a firearm" and was shot.
The shooting is under investigation, which will be reviewed by the state Department of Law. Troopers say the goal is to determine if the shooting was warranted.
