ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - One of two ex-supervisors shot by a
former technician at a Soldotna hospital has died. Alaska State
Troopers also shot and killed the gunman.
Hospital spokeswoman Bonnie Nichols says 55-year-old Mike Webb
died about two hours after the gunman fired multiple shots
Wednesday morning inside Central Peninsula General Hospital.
Troopers did not name the gunman, but Nichols identified him as
48-year-old Joseph Marchetti.
Nichols identified the other shooting victim as 57-year-old
Margaret Stroup.
Stoup is in surgery and listed in critical condition.
Nichols said the victims are the former supervisors of
Marchetti, who recently lost his job as a digital imaging
technician.
Soldotna is about 75 miles southwest of Anchorage.
