ANCHORAGE- An Anchorage Boy Scout troop is left homeless because of the national organization's decision to accept openly gay scouts has found a new place to meet.
Troop 1316 will join Troop 215 at Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene.
Troop 1316 was told last month it could no longer use the facilities at the Anchorage Baptist Temple because of the change of policy at the national Boy Scout level.
Mark Schneider, whose son is a member of Trooper 1316, says that many churches and organizations stepped up to offer support.
