JUNEAU- A cruise ship remains in port in southeast Alaska because of a mechanical issue.
The Celebrity Cruises ship Millennium has spent two days in Ketchikan after the 964-foot ship had to return to port on Sunday.
The company said in a statement the issue is with one of the ship's two propulsion units.
It's not the first problem this summer for the Millennium, which can carry more than 2,100 passengers. The ship was sidelined for three days earlier this month in Seward because of a propulsion unit problem. It left Aug. 12 and returned to Vancouver, British Columbia, for the next northbound cruise.
The ship left Vancouver Friday and arrived Sunday in Ketchikan. However, it had to return after leaving port later that night.
