Fairbanks police are looking for a man who was arrested but escaped by stealing a police car.

Police say 28-year-old Julius "JT" Chambers may be armed but may also be handcuffs.

Reports say officers Tuesday night took a call on a disturbance on 29th Avenue and arrested Chambers on a warrant.

He escaped, drove off in the police car and ditched it a few blocks away.

Police say Chambers should not be approached and is known to carry a weapon.

Chambers is 5-feet-5 and white. He was wearing a black "Keep Calm and Chive On" hooded sweat shirt Tuesday night.
