Fairbanks police seek leads in 2013 fire death

Fairbanks police are appealing to the public for new information on the fire death of a man in 2013.

Johnny Druck Wallis on Jan. 1, 2013, was found on fire on the floor of the city's downtown post office.

Reports say Wallis died four days later.

Police are seeking information on a man who had been with Wallis.

Employees of a restaurant, Bobby's Downtown, spotted the fire. They crossed Third Avenue to put out the flames.

Police say they have found no evidence that anyone held a grudge against Wallis.

Investigators found no evidence that the fire was set with an accelerant such as gasoline.
