Midtown Fire Displaces Dozens

A fire broke out in midtown Anchorage Monday sending the Anchorage Fire Department out in force.

Fifteen units responded to 310 W 33rd Avenue shortly after 5 p.m. to reports of a six-plex on fire. Fire fighters had things under control within an hour.

Winds were gusting to 35 miles per hour out of the North at the time according to the National Weather Service,

No one was injured in the blaze and twenty four residents were evacuated. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents and AFD is continuing their investigation of the fire.
