Police Searching for Suspect in Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Hit-and-Run

On Tuesday, April 15, 2014 Anchorage police dispatch received a call at 10:08 p.m. referencing a vehicle versus pedestrian collision outside of a residence near the 5900 block of Mego Street and that the vehicle had left the scene. Police and medics responded and a female victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It was reported to police that the female victim was hanging on the passenger door of the vehicle when the truck drove off and dragged the victim.

After conducting a preliminary investigation of the hit-and-run, the driver of the vehicle was identified as 20-year-old Haily Ibarra and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. Anyone with information regarding Ibarra’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 786-8900.
