ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Anchorage police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person who killed two people and critically injured another in a homeless camp site near downtown Anchorage earlier this month.

Police issued the plea in a Friday release for help in solving the March 10 shooting.

Police say a lone male went to the campsite March 10, pulled a tent door open and shot several times inside.

The dead have been identified as 47-year-old Mae Melovidov and 55-year-old Robert Workman. Melovidov was originally from Saint Paul Island, while Workman was originally from Shageluk. Police think they had been living in Anchorage for some time.

Police earlier said the suspect was wearing a black jacket with red stripes on the back.
