ANCHORAGE, AK- Sources tell Your Alaska Link that convicted serial killer Robert Hansen was close to death Wednesday morning. Department of Corrections Officials are confirming Hanson has been moved from the maximum security facility in Seward  to the Anchorage

Correctional Facility.

Your Alaska Link reached out to local medical facilities in Anchorage to see if Hansen had been treated but because of HIPPA laws no comment was given. Officials at Alaska Regional Hospital did confirm they have a contract to treat DOC prisoners.

Hansen has been housed at the Spring Creek Correctional Center in Seward since 1983.

Between 1971 and 1983, Hansen murdered between 17 and 21 women near Anchorage, Alaska. He was convicted in 1983 and is currently serving 461 years.
