Anchorage, AK -  People rummaged through used items in order to benefit Alaska's youth.

The Salvation Army's Rummage Sale on Saturday raised money for their Alaska Corps Cadets Program.

Which helps to prepare highly motivated teenagers to one day serve their communities as leaders in The Salvation Army.

"Personally, I like, I go to all the programs, so it really like helps to see like what it does and like I'm helping and so it's really cool to see that," said Alina Smith who was a Volunteer at the Rummage Sale and is part of The Alaska Corps Cadets Program.

Items sold during the sale included DVDs, clothes and even a stereo.
