JUNEAU- A 27-year-old California man wanted on drug charges has been arrested at a southeast Alaska cannery.
Alaska State Troopers say Victor Lopez Jr. of Stockton was arrested Tuesday in Excursion Inlet at the Ocean Beauty Seafoods plant, where he was employed as a seasonal worker.
Troopers say Lopez was wanted on a "dangerous drugs" charge in Stockton.
Both California and Alaska had issued warrants for his arrest.
Trooper Chris Umbs reports that police in Stockton learned Lopez was at the cannery.
Umbs and a second trooper arrested Lopez and transported him to Lemon Creek Correctional Center in Juneau. His bail is set at $10,000.
The Excursion Inlet processing plant is 40 miles west of Juneau.
