PALMER- A man in a pickup pulled over for speeding near Palmer has been arrested on drug charges.
Alaska State Troopers report an officer late Tuesday afternoon conducted a traffic stop, and after a pat-down, found 25-year-old Michael Yunker in possession of crystal methamphetamine "with intent to deliver."
Troopers tell the Anchorage Daily News that Yunker was carrying seven "dime bags" of the drug.
He is charged with two felony drug counts.
A second passenger, 20-year-old Zachary E.M. Simpson of Palmer, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at an August court hearing. He had been arrested in January on a drug charge.
Troopers say Simpson was found with a "user's amount" of crystal methamphetamine and charged with a drug count.
